Investigating a 1990s sexual misconduct allegation at Sacred Heart Preparatory
The sexual abuse law firm of Corsiglia, McMahon & Allard is investigating a report of alleged sexual misconduct at Sacred Heart Preparatory in the 1990s. It is our understanding that a former student came forward with such an allegation and that the school is now investigating. The school reports that the person who is alleged to have engaged in sexual misconduct has not worked at the school for 15 years. The school has launched an external investigation into any reports of sexual misconduct with any student by any faculty and staff (past or present), and also how school leadership handled any instances of misconduct it knew about, if any, throughout the history of the school.
If you have any insights into sexual misconduct or inappropriate behavior at Sacred Heart Preparatory, please contact our law firm at 408-289-1417 before you contact the school’s legal counsel. Your contact with our law firm will be handled in a confidential manner.
Why should I come forward now?
The law in California is providing you with a very narrow window of time to take action. As a result of California Assembly Bill 218, ALL Catholic and Christian school sexual abuse victims and survivors have until the end of 2022 to take legal action against the school.
About Corsiglia, McMahon & Allard
The sexual abuse legal team at Corsiglia, McMahon & Allard has a national reputation and proven record of helping survivors and their families recover from childhood sexual abuse. The firm’s $65 million jury verdict in a sexual abuse case against a public school is believed to be the largest single plaintiff verdict ever in California and the U.S. In May 2022, the law firm obtained a $10 million jury verdict for the 2003 sexual abuse of a then-high school tennis player abused by his coach. And earlier this year, the firm secured $7.5 million for five men sexually abused by their teacher in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
