Paul Fielder, former Suisun City youth sports coach arrested for sexual abuse
Paul Fielder, former Suisun City sports coach and resident is facing 32 counts of sexual abuse of a child under 14 years old. Law enforcement authorities believe most of the alleged crimes took place in Contra Costa County between February 27, 2015 and July 11, 2019.
Fielder was arrested on July 11, 2019 by Walnut Creek Police Detectives and Federal Agents when he arrived at a location to meet a minor to engage in sex acts. The investigation revealed Fielder had been sexually abusing a minor for several years.
Who is Coach Paul Fielder?
The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District told Sacramento television station FOX40 that Fielder was a campus monitor at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield in 2006 and 2007, as well as a basketball coach there in 2007.
Media reports state that Fielder was the Rodriguez High School junior varsity boys basketball head coach for the 2003-04 season and varsity boys basketball head coach for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Fielder’s teams included future NFL players James-Michael Johnson and Marcel Jensen. Fielder also coached basketball at Fairfield High School in 2010 and 2011.
