Westmoor High School Spanish teacher Hector Vazquez is facing sexual abuse charges after being arrested for unlawful sexual intercourse with a student. Westmoor High School is part of the Jefferson Union High School District in Daly City.
It appears that the Jefferson Union High School District hired Vazquez in 2011 even though an internet search would most likely have turned up Vazquez’ prior history in the state of Wisconsin.
Vazquez was allegedly fired from a school in Madison, Wisconsin in response to a Title XI sexual harassment complaint filed in 2005 against him by a group of more than two dozen parents.
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing suspended Hector Vazquez’ credential for misconduct effective May 23, 2019. In California, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) provides teachers accused of sexual misconduct with a lengthy review and appeals process before the revocation of their teaching credential.
