The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that a teacher at Willow Glen Middle School, which is part of the San Jose Unified School District, is being investigated for alleged sexual misconduct. Willow Glen Middle School parents are on notice that an unnamed employee was relieved of his duties pending the investigation by the San Jose Police Department.

Educator sexual misconduct is a major problem in this country. The latest research indicates that one in ten children will be a victim of sexual misconduct by the time they graduate high school. Two-thirds of those reported that the inappropriate conduct involved physical contact.

In Santa Clara County, the child molestation attorneys at the law firm of Corsiglia, McMahon & Allard have represented in either an official or unofficial capacity well over 100 clients who as children were sexually abused as children. In nearly all of those cases, we have helped sex abuse victims get financial compensation for the harm that was caused to them. At the same time, no other lawyer has done more to enhance the protection of children from sexual predators in both schools and sport than attorney Robert Allard.
